Laboratory Center at Intrarat Hospital offers clinical laboratories on the following areas: Hematology, Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood bank and PCR COVID-19. The laboratory center is equipped with up-to-date laboratory equipment for fast and accurate results. The high standards of internal quality control and external quality assessment are used to provide services.

Tests that are conducted out on clinical specimens play an important role to obtain information about the health of a patient to aid in diagnosis. Furthermore, laboratory tests can be used to follow-up patients after treatment leading to high quality of care at Intrarat Hospital.
Laboratory Center at Intrarat Hospital are used in multiple disciplines for:

Preparation for blood testing
- Get plenty of rest (at least 8 hours of sleep)
- Fasting (not eating meals and fluids) for at least 8-12 hours before the examination (for blood work containing Fasting blood sugar or lipid profile)
- Avoid alcohol consumption at least 24 hours before blood testing
- Can take medication before the examination as directed by your doctor (with sips of clear liquid only)
- Bring any medical documents regarding to your underlying diseases or health issues
- Wear proper clothing for blood to be drawn conveniently.
After a blood test
- Hold a ball of cotton wool on the place where the injection was made for approximately 5 minutes to stop the bleeding
- Eat snacks if you were required to fast prior to blood test to prevent hypoglycemia, which can cause fainting and dizziness
- Do not massage at the site where blood was drawn to prevent bruising
- Know that bruising is the most common side effect of having blood drawn which will resolve on its own in around 1-2 weeks
