Physical Therapy / Rehabilitation Department is fully equipped to provide patients of all ages with care delivered by rehabilitative medicine specialists and other associated experts. This department aims to restore physical and functional disabilities of patients from aging, injuries, disease, environmental factors and physical impairments. The department provides analysis, diagnostics, treatments and preventive measures to all patients. Medical experts will evaluate symptoms before rehabilitation and set an individualized rehabilitation plan.

Services
- Rehabilitation services for patients suffering from musculoskeletal diseases, including Office syndrome, back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, orthopedic surgery and joint diseases
- Rehabilitation services for patients suffering from neurological diseases, including paralysis, brain injuries and spinal injuries
- Rehabilitation services for patients suffering from coronary heart diseases, including heart surgery
- Rehabilitation services for patients suffering from lung diseases, including pulmonary edema, bronchitis and thoracic surgery
- Rehabilitation services for elderly, including advices for disease prevention and physical therapy to help improve mobility, balance, flexibility, increase strength and manage pain
- Preoperative and postoperative advices and care
- Teaching how to use gait aids, including canes, crutches and walkers
- Teaching how to use orthoses, splint or brace
Equipments at Rehabilitation Department
- Laser therapy: For alleviating pain and inflammation
- Shockwave Therapy: Produces an acoustic pressure wave that transmits radially. Used in the treatment of many musculoskeletal conditions, primarily those involving connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons
- Therapeutic Ultrasound: Can increase circulation to soft tissue structures, decrease muscle spasm and decrease pain
- Electrical Stimulator with electrotherapy: Employing electrical impulses to provide various potential health benefits, including pain management and muscle rehabilitation
- Cervical – Lumbar / Pelvic Traction: With the usage of power traction unit. Used to treat lots of conditions that cause neck and back pain. In addition to treating conditions that affect the vertebrae, it can also treat issues with the nerves and muscles around the spine. Conditions that can be alleviated by this equipment include herniated disc pulposus, spondylosis and spondylolisthesis.
- Tilt table: Using adjustable tilt table to acclimate a bed-ridden patient to standing. Additionally, this equipment can be used to help patients suffering from stroke or spinal injuries.
- Paraffin Bath: Paraffin bath using paraffin boiler is used as a source of therapeutic heat for extremities. The treatment decreases pain, aches and stiffness in the muscles and joints. Conditions that can receive benefits from this treatment include chronic arthritis, trigger finger and plantar fasciitis.

Rehabilitation in elderly
The Thai population is aging rapidly. Thailand has been an aging society since 2005 and is considered a completely aged society in 2022. Complete-aged society means that the population in which the proportion of those age 60 years or older exceeds 20%. Additionally, Thailand is expected to become a Super-Aged Society by 2036. Therefore, rehabilitation can play an essential role to counteract impairments and disability in the elderly.
There has been an increase in the importance of health promotion and prevention. Hence, rehabilitation also focus on promoting good health and preventing issues affecting elderly. Knowledge and advices on lifestyle modifications will be given to develop good health. Holistic care will also be provided. Conditions that medical experts can help in preventing include non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and preventing falls.
